Would you like to try making a Ricotta Cheese and Chocolate Cake?
You might try this Elisa's from Biella recipe, who wrote: " I love having it for breakfast: you can perfectly dip it in your milk!!!".
This cake remains soft and humid inside and it is similar to the Ricotta Cheese and Custard Tart I've already published.
It is very easy to prepare because you just need to add the ingredients in your Thermomix bowl and it will do the rest :-) The result is spectacular, it is a very delicate cake; children and even who doesn't like ricotta cheese that much will love it! The proof of the pudding!
I have no influence in this because I totally love ricotta cheese cakes...better with chocolate...mmmh a treat! :-)
If you want to make other ricotta cheese cakes there is a vast range: you may try the Almond and Ricotta Cheese Cake or a more traditional ones like the Neapolitan Pastiera or the Sicilian Cannoli. If you like adding fruit too (which is always good) you must try the Blueberry Cheesecake or the Wild Berry Cheesecake.
- 200 g Plain Flour
- 170 g Sugar
- 100 g Butter
- 3 Eggs
- 1 Baking Powder Sachet (15-16 g)
- 1 Vanillin Sachet (0,5 g) (or 1 Spoon of Vanilla Sugar)
- 100 g Dark Chocolate
- 200 g Ricotta Cheese
How to prepare the Ricotta Cheese and Chocolate Cake
Put chocolate in the bowl and chop. 3 or 4 Turbo hits. Then put aside.
Prepare the icing sugar. 20 Sec. Speed Turbo.
Add butter. 30 Sec. Speed 4.
Add eggs one by one while the knives are moving at Speed 40, in 30 Sec.
Add flour, ricotta cheese, baking powder and vanillin (I used Vanilla Sugar). 30 Sec. Speed 5.
Then add the chopped chocolate. 10 Sec. Speed 2.
Pour this mixture in a baking pan and bake. 40 Min. 160°C.
The result is still perfect without using butter! Lighter indeed!
