What can you do when is bbq night but some of your guests don't eat meat? Surprise them with these yummy Lentil Mini Burgers to prepare with Thermomix! A delicious option to go well with your favourite salad, veggie side dish and sauce. They're very quick to make, and meat eaters will jump on them too, so make sure you prepare enough of this little gems :-)
This Lentil Mini Burger recipe is a very original idea! It has been created by Rosanna from Rome and was very welcome in my book of recipes!
I like to serve them with dips or with the delicious Thermomix Hummus, I find they go great together!
And if you like lentils, you should definitely try the Lentil Soup too.
Ingredients- 50 g Lentils
- 50 g Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Carrot
- 1 Spoon Thermomix Stock Cube
- 1 Egg
- Salt to taste
- 10 g Bread-crumbs (+ as much as needed to coat the burgers)
Let's make our Lentil Mini BurgersSoak lentils before cooking if needed (the packet will say for how long, depends on what you buy).
Grind the carrot. 5 Sec. Speed 7.
Add the oil. 3 Min. 100°C Speed 1.
Drain the lentils and put them in the bowl with the Thermomix stock cube. 20 Min. 100°C Speed Gentle Stir.
The mixture must come out very dry.
Blend. 5 Sec. Speed 7.
Add the egg and the bread-crumbs. 10 Sec. Speed 4.
Mix well with your hands and shape into small balls.
Roll them into bread-crumbs and coat well one by one. Deep-fry for 2 to 3 Min..
My AdviceIf you want this to be vegan, just leave the egg out.
I gave them a flatten shape to create something like lentil falafels.
