Thermomix Pumpkin Sago Dessert

Thermomix Pumpkin Sago Dessert
Here's the recipe to a brilliant Pumpkin Sago Dessert, something I had never tried before but it's now on my recipe book because it tastes so great!

This fantastic recipe was sent by Winnie from Adelaide, a fan and active member of my Facebook page. Here's what she said in her email:

"It is an asian dessert which I find very refreshing and filling. I made for it Christmas pot luck party at my friend's house and everyone loved it."

Well, dear Winnie, everyone loved it in my house, too! It was a real hit when I made it, because we had never had it before! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us!

If you can't get enough pumpkin, knock yourself out with all of these amazing options to try in your Thermomix: Pumpkin Carrot Soup, Warm Chicken Salad with Pumkin, Pumpkin Muffins, Pumpkin Risotto with Spicy Provolone Cheese, Pumpkin Flan, Pumpkin Croquettes... and check back for many more to come :-)

Ingredients

to serve about 4
- 500 gr Pumpkin
- 400 gr Water
- 60 gr Sugar
- 2 pieces Pandan Leaves
- 100 gr Sago, cooked
- 150 gr Full Cream Evaporated Milk or Coconut Milk

Let's make our Pumpkin Sago Dessert

First, we cook the Sago: soak in water till expanded, then put basket into TM bowl, put soaked sago into basket. Boil 100ºC 7 Min. Speed 3.

Take it out and soak in cold water then drain it. It's ready to use.

Cut pumpkin into chunks, skin off and put into TM bowl with 400 gr water. Cook for 20 Min. 100ºC Speed 1.

Add in 60 gr sugar and 2 pieces pandan leaves cut into 1 inch length. Blend at 1 Min. Speed 10.

Add in 150 gr evaporated milk and 100 gr cooked sago. Mix 10 Sec. Speed 4.

It is ready to be served as a warm or cold dessert after lunch or dinner.

I like mine cold so I put in the fridge overnight.
