Egg-Free Chocolate Cake with Thermomix

Some of us have egg allergies and often miss out on cake at dinner parties. Here's a recipe for a delicious egg-free chocolate cake, which is also a good option for the egg eaters, as it's a little lighter. I serve it in small cubes, with grapes and white chocolate, but it makes a great dessert by itself too.

It's really tasty and you won't even notice it doesn't have eggs. If your local supermarket doesn't have potato starch, try the health food stores.

This cake is soft and delicious. What do you think about it?

Ingredients

- 300gr Sugar
- 150gr Plain Flour
- 70gr   Potato Starch
- 250gr Milk
- 75gr   Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 15gr   Baking Powder
- Icing  Sugar

Let's make our Egg-Free Chocolate Cake

Put the sugar in the bowl. Grind. 15 Sec. Speed Turbo.

Add flour, potato starch, milk and cocoa powder. 20 Sec. Speed 7.

Add baking powder. 10 Sec. Speed 7.

Pour the mixture in a squared baking pan and cover with icing sugar.

Bake 30-40 Min. 180°C.

My Advice

My idea is to cut the cake in small cubes and serve it with grapes and white chocolate. The bitter-sweet of the cake goes very well with the sour-sweet of the grapes and the more delicate taste of white chocolate (must be good quality and just one or two squares).

Tiziana Venturo's Advice

Tiziana has a daughter who can't take milk, she replaces the milk with water or soy milk.

The same thing can be done for the Milk-Free Hot Chocolate.
