Greek Yogurt Cake with Thermomix

Haven't you ever used Greek yogurt to make a cake? So this is the recipe for you. You'll find out a new way of using this ingredient and you will love it more and more.

Greek yogurt distinguishes itself from the normal one because of its thicker consistency and because it is low in fat, which are absolutely absent in the fat free version ( good to know when dieting ;-)). Its sour savour mix and balance very well the sweetness of many recipes.

I had never thought of using Greek yoghurt in a cake, but now I can involve it thanks to this recipe sent by Greta Pavan from Milan who wrote: "I tested myself, I'm a big lover of Greek yoghurt which is famous for its consistency and creaminess. Thanks to this property, the result is a very spongy and soft cake! I think cinnamon is the flavour to add...you can love it (like me) or hate it....that's way I didn't add it as a "fundamental" ingredient in the list."

I tried this cake and I found it really soft and delicate. I suggest that you try it during snack time with your family or with your friends or colleagues, but make sure there's someone to ask you "How did you make it?", so you can reply what you used and shock everybody!

Here you are other recipes that involve yoghurt: Peach Yogurt Cake, Coconut Yogurt Cake, Apple Yogurt Cake with Hazelnuts, Yogurt Cake with Custard and Cream, Thermomix Sweet Cake with Venus Black Rice Flour.
