I must admit it: I was literally looking forward to tasting the delicious Chocolate Flan Cake I prepared for my husband's birthday party.
Woooooooooooooooooooooow! Yes, this has been my expression like. I don't need to add more. :-)
The recipe has been suggested by Manuela who told me this cake was born from some chocolate Easter eggs leftovers.
These pretty single portion cakes are tempting chocolate treats, soft inside, and can be accompanied by some custard ice-cream, some currants and raspberries or by a strawberry upon a touch of whipped cream. A real deli!
Very easy to prepare and quick to cook. You just need a few minutes and, voilà, dessert is served.
Just remember, beware of the time indications as a good flan cake is made by strictly respecting them. In case you do not follow them, you would loose that tasty soft made of melt chocolate.
Ingredients10 people serving
- 250 g Chocolate (you may mix milk, dark and white chocolate if you like)
- 50 g Plain Flour
- 125 g Butter, cut into pieces
- 100 g Sugar
- 3 Eggs
How to prepare Thermomix Chocolate Flan CakePut chocolate in the bowl. Grind. 15 Sec. Speed Turbo.
Add butter and sugar. Cook. 6 Min. 30°C Speed 3.
Let the mixture rest for 10 Min. then add the eggs and the flour. 1 Min. Speed 5.
Pour the mixture into 10 single moulds for flan cake (also paper cases) buttered and floured, just for a half.
Bake into pre-heated oven (fan-forced oven) for about 8 Min.
Serve immediately, turn the mould upside down and you will see some liquid chocolate coming out from the middle.
My adviceYou may serve this flan cake with some custard ice cream next to it and if you want a more sophisticated dish you may decorate it with some melted chocolate, some cocoa powder and some chocolate geometrical figures. A real pleasure for your eyes and belly :-)
