Hot Chocolate with Thermomix

Hot Chocolate with Thermomix

Imagine a Hot Chocolate in a fine porcelain white cup: it's the classic image of a cold winter, when you are at home, being snug. A real pleasure, especially with a whipped cream topping... :-P

Here you will find the recipe for making a mix to prepare hot chocolate that you can keep in the pantry. When you want hot chocolate, just take this mix and prepare a cup following the instructions.

The hot chocolate mixture is also a great gift idea, a very original idea. Have you ever thought about giving away a mix for hot chocolate for Christmas?

Imagine it in a pretty glass jar, with a colourful ribbon bow, directions for presentation written in a lovely way. Sweet in every sense, isn't it?

Otherwise you can make it for yourself and use it when you fancy chocolate. :-) Sometimes we need to cuddle ourself and satisfy a whim.

With this mixture you can prepare the same hot chocolate as those ones made in Cafe! I couldn't believe it...!

The only problem I found is that I would make hot chocolate every single afternoon...!

Ingredients

(about 12 cups)
- 70 g cane sugar
- 160 g white sugar
- 200 g dark chocolate from 55% to 65%
- 150 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 250 g potato starch
- 1 tbsp cinnamon

Let's cook

Put cane and caster sugar in the mixing bowl. 20 Sec. Speed Turbo.

Add 200 g of dark chocolate in pieces. 20 Sec. Speed Turbo.

This step is really delicate. You must check the consistency after 10 Sec. and then do the other 10 Sec. Chocolate will melt if you mix too much.

Consistency must be that of a powder, it must be dry.

Add 150 g unsweetened cocoa powder, 250 g potato starch and 1 tbsp cinnamon and blend 15 Sec. Speed 6.

Put it all in a hermetic glass jar.

Place in a fresh and dry place.

How to prepare a cup of Hot Chocolate

Put 40 g of the mix in the mixing bowl (about 3 spoons).

Add 180 g whole milk. 3 Min. 80C Speed 4.
