Here it is: a beautiful fruit juice recipe, perfect for children: the apple and banana fruit juice.
My children absolutely prefer peach fruit juice, but they also like drinking apricot fruit juice and pear fruit juice. I always try to vary as much as I can, according to the seasonal fruit too.
But I was so happy to try experimenting this new recipe because if I can find some food around, nothing keeps me from copying it without adding preservatives or colouring! :-)
I think this is the philosophy of us, people of Thermomix. We try to reproduce the luscious and attracting food we find in supermarkets but avoiding the addition of preservatives and colouring. It's basically the same idea behind the Nutella Spread with Thermomix recipe, or other snacks like the Kinder Delice or the Nastrine pastries and much more!
What do you think about this? Are you too in love with Thermomix because it allows you to prepare home-made delicious food without any effort and in such a short time?
Ingredients
8 small bottles of fruit juice- 1 L water
- 2 apples
- 1 banana
- 100 g sugar
- 1/2 lemon juice
Let's cook
Put water and sugar in the bowl. 10 Min. 100°C Speed 2.In the meantime peel apples and banana. Cut into pieces. Put the fruit in a large bowl and sprinkle with half a lemon juice.
Add fruit to the TM mixing bowl and blend. 30 Sec. Speed 10.
Cook. 3 Min. 100C Speed 2.
Pour the fruit juice in bottles while still hot, close with the cap (possibly use screw caps) and put upside down until cold. Keep refrigerated.
Tips
The 3 minutes cooking helps to prevent fruit from separating from water during preservation.Bottles should be single portion, with a screw cap. You can buy them in supermarkets.
Small bottles allow to preserve the fruit juice also for 15 days as the fruit juice won't go bad.
You can use caster sugar if you prefer :-)!
