Honey Biscuits: Prepare Them with Thermomix

Would you like to prepare any honey biscuits? With this recipe you can prepare some delicious golden biscuits.

Flour, honey, sugar and orange zest, four simple ingredients and you'll have very rich in tradition biscuits.

In some Italian regions they are called "spaccadenti" or "spezzadenti" (that means teeth breaker) because they are really "crunchy" as they do not contain any kind of fat. Follow Maria Gabriella's suggestion about this, at the end of the article.

I love these biscuits because they remind me of small towns fairs and markets. I mainly saw them around Sicilian markets, where they got very suggestive forms. Children will love them, because they are funny, like Pippi Longstocking's different shaped biscuits: can you remember?

They also are very light because if you make them a little bit hard, you will spend a lot of time eating just one of it and you won't have time to eat too many of them! ;-)

This recipe is the final result of a long research made by Maria Gabriella Sergi from Turin that has already contributed to this website with some starters recipes. Maria Gabriella wrote "these biscuits are part of my childhood memories. I used to eat lots of them on All Souls' Day. Usually at the beginning of the feast and for me they still are the All Souls biscuits. I had been looking for this recipe for a long time and, through my taste memory, I found it with other grandparents traditional recipes and I said: " Thermomix, let's try doing it!" The result: scent, savour and delicacy....these biscuits finish in a flash, you must cook them continuously. You may try them!".

So, this is Maria Gabriella's comfort food....while my comfort food is not a sweet recipe (even if I adore cakes!), but a savoury one: the Rice Stuffed Tomatoes.
