Melon Ice Cream with Thermomix

Would you like to prepare a delicious melon ice cream? Here you are two recipes you'll be able to try and choose according to your personal taste!

The pleasure in a fruit ice cream lies in few ingredients; in this case only melon, sugar and yogurt or egg-white.

One of the reason why many people decide to buy a Thermomix is the possibility of preparing ice cream in a healthy and cheap way avoiding the consumption of preservatives or the emptying of your wallet. And what about the great satisfaction of ending a dinner with a home-made ice cream or giving an healthy, fresh and yummy snack to your children? Priceless.

Last summer I satisfied all my ice cream whims. I bought empty cones (you can find them in any supermarket or discount), then I whipped cream and served ice cream cones to my daughters. They were enthusiastic! The floor was a bit less enthusiastic, but it doesn't matter...

- 400 g Melon ripe and perfumed
- 100 g Sugar
- 250 g Vanilla Yogurt

How to prepare the Melon Ice Cream

Cut melon into cubes and put it in the freezer.

Pour yogurt in an aluminium foil bowl or inside a ice cubes container and let freeze.

Take out fruit and yogurt from the freezer 5 Min. before starting the ice cream preparation.

Pulverise sugar. 20 Sec. Speed 9.

Add fruit and yogurt in cubes and mix. 20 Sec. Speed 7 and then 20 Sec. Speed 4.

- 600 g Frozen Melon in cubes
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 Natural Yogurt Pot (125 g)

How to prepare the Melon Ice Cream

Pulverise sugar. 20 Sec. Speed 9.

Add frozen melon and yogurt. Start from Speed 5 and increase until ice cream is creamy.

Gaia Pellegrino's advice

You can replace yogurt with an egg-white.

First mix using the spatula from Speed 4 to 8 within 1 Min. then insert the butterfly tool and continue mixing (without measuring cup) for another 1 Min. Speed 3.
