In Italy we all know Arlecchino. It is one of the carnival masks of our tradition. Arlecchino (Arlechì in Bergamo) is a famous Bergamo comedy mask that spreads in Italy in the mid 1500s. The origin of the character, however, is much older, and is linked to the agricultural world.

Although it is a male character, as a child my mother sewed me a beautiful Harlequin mask. A rather funny all-colored jumpsuit. I liked the idea of wearing a colorful jumpsuit. Obviously without a black mask on the face that did not suit a child.

What is your favorite carnival mask?
